Full form of GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE exam was start from 1984 and since then GATE is regulated and conducted together by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the interest of the National Coordination Board (NCB)- GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India..
