JEE (Main) is an all India common engineering entrance examination . JEE give an opportunity to enter one’s dream engineering college in India. Through this exam students become eligible to take admission in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions and Institutions funded by participating State for B.E. /B. Tech. or B.ARCH/B. PLANNING course. JEE is considering internationally as one of the most challenging engineering admission tests. JEE exam requires full use of your abilities or resources. JEE Mains is totally based on objective pattern.

JEE has two levels:

  • JEE Main: All the seats of NIT’s, CFTI’s, GFTI’s except IIT’s & a few other, comes under this exam.
  • JEE Advance: All the seats of IIT’s, IISER’s and a few other will fall under  this level of exam.

The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs for B.E. /B. Tech.

The option of question paper language should be select while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.

Provisions for persons with Disabilities

  • 1. Only the applicants, who have 40 % or more disability, will be given Scribe/ Reader at the request of the applicants. The applicant may have the discretion of opting his/her very own scribe/reader or may also submit the request to the centre superintendent for the Scribe/ Reader.
  • 2. One hour compensatory (extra) time will also be allowed to the applicants with 40% or greater incapacity irrespective of the reality that the candidate(s) is/are availing the ability of scribe/reader.

Prohibition on Use of Calculator and Communication Aids

Use of electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator is not permitted in JEE (Main) – 2017. Materials like log table, book, notebook, etc. should not be brought into the examination hall.
